What happened to my food?

Wow i haven't been blogging in forever. I guess I'm just to busy(or too lazy) to type up something interesting. But i remembered this blog, and would like to direct a very serious matter to you, my(nonexistent)fans, something that effects us all.

You love it when you bite into that luscious burger, savor that Coca-Cola, and most of all, you love to massacre that Twinkie, don't we all. However, under all those pleasures lurk a deep evil. That burger patty came from a cow who was fed nothing but cornmeal and was continuously drugged with antibiotics, that Cola contains extremely high levels of HFCS(High-Fructose Corn Syrup), and as for that Twinkie, you don't want to know.

Our food industry is in turmoil. Our foods are covered in preservatives, our meat is becoming increasingly fatty, and our vegetables sprayed in pesticides and grown with chemical fertilizers. Plus, our obesity rate has skyrocketed in the last few years, leaving America the fattest country in the world.

We can choose to be the problem, or be the solution. We can choose the chemically altered food and decrease our mortality, or we can choose to buy organic foods from our Farmer's Market and savor the lost pleasure of our food. Food can transport us home, with the memories of your Grandma smiling as she fills her soup with love, or in my case, my Mother. It's time to trade those chips for some celery, those sodas for some soup, and those god-awful Twinkies for ANYTHING. Settle down and eat some real food.
